Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EscapeDebt ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

EscapeDebt is a debt tracking and management application that helps users monitor their debts, record payments, calculate interest, and track progress toward financial freedom.

Account Registration

To use our Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Subscription Plans

Free Plan

• Track 1 debt
• Basic features
• Free forever

Pro Plan

• €5 per month
• Unlimited debts
• Smart PDF import
• Advanced analytics
• Payment reminders
• Export reports
• Priority support

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

Payment Terms

• Payments are processed securely through Polar.sh
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the Settings page. Upon cancellation:

• You retain Pro access until the end of your billing period
• Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan
• No refunds are provided for partial months
• Your data is retained and accessible on the Free plan (limited to 1 debt)

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Share your account with others

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by EscapeDebt and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
• Results from using the Service will be accurate or reliable

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ESCAPEDEBT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

EscapeDebt is a debt tracking tool only. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. The information and calculations provided by the Service are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice.

Always consult with qualified professionals for financial decisions.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
